Opera incorporates Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon and 5 other blockchains

Opera, among the significant crypto-friendly web web browsers, revealed the combination of 8 blockchains in an ongoing effort to present Web3 to more than 380 million mobile and desktop users worldwide.

In Jan. 2022, Opera introduced the Crypto Browser job, a Web3-focused effort for helping with navigation throughout decentralized applications (DApp), video games and metaverse platforms. As part of this effort, the internet browser business included assistance for 8 significant blockchain communities, consisting of Bitcoin (BTC), Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC), StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos DAO and IXO.

Opera stated in the statement that its users now have access to the Polygon and Solana DApp communities, in addition to “the benefits of Layer 2 DeFi via StarkWare-powered DiversiFi.”

The most current combinations make it possible for Opera users to gain access to Polygon proof-of-stake (POS) blockchain and Ethereum L2 environment by means of StarkEx.

According to the business, the intent behind incorporating several blockchains was to guarantee chain agnosticism and Web3 participation in an eco-friendly way. Jorgen Arnesen, EVP Mobile at Opera specified:

“Ultimately, Web3 is on its way to becoming a mainstream web technology and users won’t need to know they’re interacting with it. They need to get a superior user experience and a true benefit.”

The statement even more highlighted the requirement for carbon-neutral options with low gas charges, which stands as one of the primary factors for selecting Polygon over the Ethereum blockchain.
